Note: Easy Search searches titles, authors, years and subject categories, NOT the full text of documents or external websites.
1. Enter your search terms in the search terms box.
2. Select an option from the adjacent Match dropdown list to define how your search terms are to be combined.
Available menu options:
- All Words: Finds results that contain all your search terms, or variants of your terms, in any order.
eg aust mast tax guid retrieves results containing all these words, such as Australian Master Tax Guide.
- Exact Phrase: Finds occurrences of the exact phrase.
eg australian banking and finance law bulletin finds this exact phrase, but not australian banking alone.
- Keywords: Finds exact word matches only.
eg building finds building, but not build.
- Boolean: Use the Boolean search operators AND, OR and NOT.
eg
intellectual property AND patents finds results containing the terms intellectual and property and patents.
intellectual OR patents finds results where either intellectual or patents appear, or both.
intellectual NOT real finds results containing the terms intellectual, except where the word real appears in the same item.
- Any Words: Finds results that contain either or all of your search terms.
eg contract building finds results containing either contract or building or both.
3. Select one or more products to search.
4. Click the Search button or press [Enter] on your keyboard to start the search.
